is a national nature reserve. The Morskéoko Lake is a unique formation in Europe also in terms of rich representation of rare species of fauna and flora. Morskéoko, that used to be called VeľkéVihorlatskéjazero, one of the most charming still life sceneries in Slovakia, has preserved its romantic landscape and natural beauty.
The Morskéoko Lake is an attractive and very frequent tourist destination. Tourist trails from the Remetské and ZemplínskeHámre lead there. There is the Sninskýkameň mountain (1 006.0 m above sea level), near the Morskéoko Lake along a blue tourist mark, where you can get in 1 hour and 35 minutes of walking. The MaléMorskéoko Lake is located nearby as well. Tourists can get there along a yellow tourist markstarting at the "Morské oko, kaštielik" (618 m above sea level) tourist signpost, and the ascent takes approximately 30 minutes. A way from the ZemplínskeHámre through the Sninskýkameň mountain takes approximately 3 hours.
