ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY AT THE KOLONICKÉ SEDLO COL
The observatory specialises on professional observation work. It is located in the eastern part of the District of Snina along a road that connects the Town of Snina with Ubľa, the border crossing point from Slovakia to Ukraine. The observatory is equipped with the largest telescope in the Central Europe with diameter of 1 m.
Its observation post is located on the Kolonickývrch mountain on a place with the clearest sky.
